A European-style dairy farm in the heart of Rajasthan

S.S Dairy Farm is one of India's most forward-thinking dairy operations — a fully integrated, zero-waste farm built on three decades of passion and hard work.

Our 250 Jersey cows are housed in a spacious, well-ventilated European-style barn with individual resting stalls, automatic dung scrapers, cooling fans, and every comfort that high-quality dairy production demands.

Every aspect of the farm — from feeding to waste management — is designed to be self-sustaining, clean, and kind to the environment. We were among the first farms of this kind in all of Rajasthan.

From 5 cows to 250 — a journey three decades in the making

1995

A dream begins with 5 cows

Rajeev Mehta started S.S Dairy Farm in Kota with just five cows and a conviction that dairy farming could be done differently — with care, science, and sustainability.

2000s

Scaling up the herd

The farm steadily grew by prioritising cow health, European-style housing, and high-quality Jersey genetics — setting a standard rarely seen in the region.

2010s

Going fully sustainable

Solar panels, a biogas plant fuelled by cow waste, automated dung management, and a vermicompost unit were introduced — turning every byproduct into a resource.

Now with 250+ Jersey cows and Prachi Mehta joining to take the farm forward, S.S Dairy Farm continues to pioneer sustainable dairy in Rajasthan and beyond.

Sustainability

A complete circle — nothing goes to waste

Every element of our farm feeds the next. Cow dung powers our electricity. Liquid becomes fertiliser. Solids become vermicompost. Sun powers our operations.

Biogas electricity

Cow dung and urine are collected, separated, and fed into our biogas chamber. The fermentation process produces electricity that powers the farm — a closed energy loop.

Vermicompost

Solid waste from the separation process is combined with earthworms to produce rich, 100% cow-dung-based vermicompost. Highly potent and completely natural — ideal for plants and farms.

Liquid slurry

The liquid fraction from waste separation is used as a nutrient-rich slurry for agricultural fields — a natural biofertiliser that replaces chemical inputs and improves soil health.

Solar energy

Solar panels across the farm generate clean electricity for lighting, equipment, and cooling — reducing dependence on the grid and our overall carbon footprint.

We believe the quality of our milk begins with the wellbeing of our cows. Every detail of their daily life is designed for their comfort.

European-style housing

Our barn is built to European standards — wide aisles, individual resting stalls, cooling fans, and excellent ventilation to keep cows comfortable in all seasons.

Automated brush massagers

Each cow has access to rotating brush massagers — a proven system that reduces stress, improves blood circulation, and keeps them content and healthy.

Thoughtful nutrition

Our cows are fed a carefully balanced diet that includes whey water — the liquid byproduct from making paneer — a rich source of nutrients that supports milk quality and gut health.

Founder & Visionary

Rajeev started S.S Dairy Farm in 1995 with five cows and an unwavering belief in doing things right. Over three decades, he has built what is now one of Rajasthan's most advanced and sustainable dairy operations — entirely through grit, innovation, and love for the craft.

Prachi Mehta

Next Generation — Operations & Growth

Prachi brings fresh energy and a contemporary perspective to the farm, working alongside her father to scale and modernise operations. From sustainability initiatives to brand building, she is shaping the next chapter of S.S Dairy Farm's story.
